About the event
In Psychology, we study various conditions through textbooks and lectures. We learn about traits and symptoms, we learn about diagnosis and treatment, and by the time we complete our degree, we can likely describe numerous conditions in some detail. Whilst conditions like ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, RSD and Prospagnosia affect numerous people every day, what does it truly feel like to experience them?
Our 2027 Symposium will delve into a variety of conditions from the viewpoints of those who live with them daily. We will cover a broad array of topics, featuring speakers who include academics, experts, and students, all of whom will be sharing their lived experiences. We will also be discussing the theory of perspectives and consider where they come from, how we develop them, and whether or not they can be changed.
