We’re delighted to continue our OUPS Webinar Series with a thought-provoking session exploring how psychology can support refugees and asylum seekers in ways that move beyond traditional, individual-focused approaches. This talk is ideal for anyone interested in community psychology, social justice, mental health, or working with displaced populations.


Psychology often asks big questions about who it serves: does it genuinely help people to thrive, or does it sometimes reinforce existing barriers? These questions feel particularly important when thinking about refugees and asylum seekers, whose lives are shaped not only by past experiences of displacement but also by the ongoing challenges of resettlement, uncertain immigration processes, cultural loss, and the struggle to build new communities.
