The OUPS President is a member of the academic staff of the Open University's Psychology Department or other suitable candidate who is chosen to bring prestige to OUPS.

The President also:

1. Contributes to the ongoing development of OUPS;

2. Acts as a representative for the Society and its members at conference/public occasions, as appropriate.

3. Acts as a cheque signatory for OUPS payments.
